Lima, May 28, 2025. The Ibero-American Gaming Summit brought together government authorities and key industry players from markets where GAT Events promotes the development of legal gaming.

With the attendance of the GAT Expo team at the 9th Ibero-American Gaming Summit, held in Lima on May 27 and 28, GAT Events reaffirms its role as a promoter and integrator of the entertainment industry in Latin America. The event gathered directors of regulatory bodies and associations from Peru, Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, and Mexico, countries where GAT holds its main trade and academic showcases. Chile, Brazil, Bolivia, and Argentina also had delegates participating in conferences and roundtables organized by José Ángel Fernández Siruela, CEO of JAK Comunicación.

This high-level venue is designed to strengthen inter-institutional relations, drive strategic alliances, and project new opportunities for collaboration.

A Dialogue That Strengthens the Region

The host country, Peru, is progressing in the regulation of online gaming and implementing innovative controls on informal betting.

Colombia reaffirms its leadership as a pioneer and benchmark of the iGaming regulatory model with record-breaking revenue.

The Dominican Republic strengthens its online regulatory framework, reinforces its commitment to responsible gaming, and maintains a dynamic industry.

Puerto Rico presents growing opportunities in sports betting, route machines, and improvements in responsible gaming and oversight.

Mexico was represented by the General Director of Gaming and Sweepstakes from the Ministry of the Interior (SEGOB), highlighting the country's current momentum as an attractive destination for the industry.

José Aníbal Aguirre, CEO of Gaming & Technology Expo, states:

"In this context, we reaffirm that the GAT Events Circuit is fully aligned with the jurisdictions and venues included in our 2025 roadmap. Mexico City welcomes us on August 27 and 28, GAT Expo Bogotá returns in full force on September 25, we debut in Puerto Rico on October 28 and 29, and we close the year in Santo Domingo on November 12 and 13. Every connection made, every relationship strengthened, translates into concrete actions. Our ties with the Peruvian industry have been renewed through our friends at SONAJA and the many colleagues we were happy to greet again. I sincerely thank José Ángel Fernández for the excellent opportunity he gave us by inviting us to this summit."

With more than 26 years of experience, based in Colombia and projecting across Latin America, GAT Events will continue to promote the development of regulated markets through its international event circuit, which includes a commercial exhibition, top-level academic programming, and specialized networking.
