Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic — November 2025. Next week, on November 12 and 13, the Dominican Republic will become the epicenter of the final stop of the GAT Events 2025 Circuit, an event that will present a robust academic agenda, commercial exhibition and networking spaces at the Renaissance Santo Domingo Jaragua Hotel & Casino.
Dominican Republic: A Growing Market
The Dominican Republic has positioned itself as one of the most complete and active gaming ecosystems in the Caribbean, with the simultaneous presence of land-based casinos, lottery outlets, sports betting shops, online gaming platforms, and both state-owned and private operators. The country has more than 30,000 authorized lottery betting shops, one of the largest per-capita networks in Latin America, and is currently moving forward with regulatory updates for remote gaming and digital sports betting.
The legal gaming industry generates over 100,000 direct and indirect jobs, while the regulatory authority continues to advance its technological modernization, implementing real-time digital auditing systems and improving regulatory traceability to protect players and ensure licensing transparency.
GAT Santo Domingo Academy
The academic agenda will begin at 9:00 a.m. on November 12 with the opening ceremony led by Claudia Álvarez, Director of Casinos and Games of Chance of the Ministry of Finance of the Dominican Republic. The protocol session will be attended by Marco Emilio Hincapié, President of Coljuegos (Colombia); David Moniz, President of the Dominican Casino Association (ADCJ); Yamile Gutiérrez, Partner at G&G Studio Legal and Director of GAT Santo Domingo; and José Aníbal Aguirre, Host and CEO of GAT Events.
Throughout the morning and afternoon, conferences and panels will address key topics including: the regulatory landscape in the Dominican Republic; regulatory changes in the region with participation from the Dominican Directorate of Casinos and Games of Chance, Coljuegos Colombia, and the Puerto Rico Gaming Commission; projections for the casino sector; the evolution of the new Gaming Law in the DR; regional updates on AML/CFT compliance; new trends in sports betting; responsible gaming; innovation in virtual betting; and technologies applied to land-based and online operations.
An audience of 200 business leaders, legal experts, operators, suppliers, local associations, and international delegates from 15 countries is confirmed. The day will close with a Welcome Cocktail at 7:00 p.m., designed to strengthen business relationships and integrate the regional ecosystem.

On Thursday, November 13, the Anacaona Ballroom of the Renaissance Jaragua will transform into a showcase of gaming and technology from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Attending executives will discover firsthand the commercial offerings, innovations and services of exhibitors and sponsors.
